Coach ben brinkman
Beginner - Intermediate - Advanced
Ben Brinkman is the girl's head basketball coach at Escondido Charter High School and a former college basketball player. After graduating from High School, Ben went on to play four years of college basketball at Eastern Oregon State and Northwest University. His passion for basketball has led him to coach both boys and girls at all levels. In his first year assistant coaching at Classical Academy High School, he helped lead the Varsity Girls Basketball team to win the 2021 CIF championship. In his second year at Classical Academy, he helped lead them to the CIF semi-final championship game. in 2022 Ben became the head coach for the Escondido Charter High School girls basketball team. In his first year, he established a winning culture and lead them to the CIF quarter-final game. In his second year (2023-2024) he led them to win their first-ever CIF Championship and then went on to play in the California State South Regional Championship game finishing as one of the top 4 D4 teams in the state.
Coach Faith Brinkman
Beginner - Intermediate - Advanced
Faith Brinkman is a graduate of Hope International University, where she earned her Bachelor of Arts in Sport Psychology with a minor in Biblical Studies. A current collegiate athlete, she was a leading scorer at Hope International and previously competed at The Master’s University and Palomar College, earning All Conference honors and multiple high school accolades, including a CIF Championship, and over 1,700 career points. She will return to compete in her final season of eligibility as a graduate student.
Having navigated a season ending injury and the process of surgery and rehabilitation, Faith brings firsthand understanding of recilience, discipline, and mental toughness required to return to play.
Faith coaches teams and leads training camps through House of Hoops, where she develops atheltes in skill, confidence, and character.
With a holistic approach, she integrates mental training, character formation, and spiritual growth, equipping athletes to compete with purpose both on and off the court.
Coach Noah Claxton
Beginner - Intermediate
Noah Claxton (far left in picutre) is a former High School Basketball player who served as the Varsity Team Captain in both his Junior and Senior years at Classical Academy High School. While serving as the Captain he simultaneously coached 5th-6th grade boys basketball for two years in the Master Sports Recreational League winning championships in both years he coached. In 2020, Noah finished out his High School basketball career by helping the Classical Academy Caimans win the CIF D5 Championship. After graduating, Noah continued his passion for basketball by participating in the House of Hoops 3v3 leagues to which he won three championships. He currently has accepted the position of the Escondido Charter Girls Basketball Junior Varsity Team coach in 2025, after previously coaching the Freshman Boys, and looks to make a lasting impact on the players and the program alike for upcoming seasons.
